I honestly mean no offense, but if you managed to reach that number in a mere 3(-ish) years, you are not a picky person. From my perspective you do not "need" to keep track of your "favorites" because you like most of the submissions you look at anyway.

Either way: Thank you for sharing. Lime many others here, I never heard of this being a thing.

If you 'desperately' want more capacity, you could check which of the users you follow that are safe to unfollow: Those who have zero submissions to any Portal or haven't submitted anything in the last N years. Then look at your favorites from the latter and decide which to remove.

Hmm, I don't know, this doesn't appear to be a big deal (for me, at least) - I don't fave stuff that much (nor that often), and having 40k definitely doesn't sound like an easy task, so I think that 40k is a fair limit ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

I suppose it could be extended a little more (to 50k for example, for leaving a more concrete number), but I don't think it's really necessary.

Also, reaching the limit doesn't have to be a synonym of reaching the end, you know? You just have to remove a few older faves from your **loooooong** list, and you'll be ready to fave whatever newer stuff you may want, again.
